CUPW is currently seeking CUPW members to assist with public facing campaigns and serve as Community Organizers (CO).
Starting September 2023, anyone appointed as a CO will be tasked with collaborating with the National 3rd Vice-President, Regional or Local offices across the country, to engage community groups, allied labour unions, elected representatives, and the public at large in support of campaigns of the union to build our power. This will include the Delivering Community Power campaign as well as other projects.
Similar to how the Building Worker Power (BWP) campaign operates, this position will be a month-to-month ad hoc book-off where COs will submit monthly event calendars detailing the proposed work they will be doing for the campaign during that period.
As part of our commitment to reflect the diversity of our membership, CUPW encourages applications from women, Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, racialized people, multi-lingual people and 2SLGBTQ+ people.
Your application must be submitted via the online form at: https://bit.ly/3uUd4f5
Applications must be submitted no later than July 7th, 2023.
Solidarity,
