No. 105

As you are aware, on June 12th, 2025, the Minister of Jobs and Families ordered the conduct of a vote on Canada Post’s final offers from May 28th, 2025 for the Urban and RSMC bargaining units and has directed that the CIRB be in charge of conducting said votes.

We have received on June 26th a direction from the CIRB to post on our national website their message encouraging members to update their email addresses with Canada Post, in order to receive their unique Personal Identification Number (PIN) that will be necessary for voting either electronically or by phone in the upcoming government imposed vote on Canada Post’s final offers of May 28th, 2025 for both bargaining units.

The period given by the CIRB to update your email information is from June 26th to July 7th, 2025 at 11:59 pm (ET).

In the CIRB message, you are encouraged to create an email address for the purpose of the vote if you do not already have one. They recommend that you use a free service such as Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo or Icloud.

The CIRB directive also states that:

“Please note that, exceptionally, employees who do not already have an email address and who have been unable to create one using any of the above services will be provided with an alternate means to receive their PIN necessary to vote.”

Please note that no date has been determined by the CIRB for the actual vote.
