MUNFA St. John’s to Host Nationwide Supporters at Rally

This Friday, Feb. 10, MUNFA members and supporters in St. John’s will march from the picket lines to a noon rally outside the Arts and Administration building. Representatives from faculty unions across the country will join us, along with students and labour supporters here in St. John’s. 

“Our movement is strong,” said MUNFA President Ash Hossain. “We have seen enormous support from students, from other unions in the area, and from general members of the public. MUNFA members are also part of a national union of university educators, and we will have representatives from coast to coast, from seven provinces, here to walk the pickets with our members and show that this is a national movement!” 

Supporters and attendees who are able are also encouraged to bring non-perishable items to donate to the food bank. MUNFA will collect these donations.
