Members of the Bee Clean bargaining unit have voted 78% in favour of their new collective agreement. These CUPW members are responsible for cleaning the Kitchener, Hamilton and Windsor Mail Processing facilities in the Ontario Region. The new terms and conditions are effective August 2, 2017 when CUPW and the representatives of the employer signed the new contract.

The new wages rates will be reflected in pay statements in August with full retroactivity for all hours paid since April 1, 2015 issued within 60 days of the signing of the collective agreement.

A summary of the changes were included in the June 13, 2017 bulletin regarding the tentative agreement. The Regional Representatives presented a review of those changes and participated in an information session prior to the ratification vote of the collective agreement. If members still have questions or concerns in the workplace, the Union urges you to contact your Shop Steward or Local Executive.

Copies of the contract in an 8 ½” by 11” format will be distributed soon as well as pocket size copies within 2 months.

Thanks go to all of the members for their patience and determination in achieving this contract and to the members of the negotiating committee.

In solidarity,
