After years of sometimes-contentious negotiations, the members of the Ottawa bargaining unit have a new contract.
Tforce Logistics Canada Inc. is a same-day and overnight courier company. CUPW represents TForce workers in six different bargaining units across the country and we gave notice to bargain in December 2017.
The Ottawa bargaining unit was the last to get a contract as the employer refused to engage in any meaningful negotiations with the Ottawa workers and CUPW.
The Ottawa TForce negotiations was in conciliation when the employer decided to table a final offer, which was taken to the membership for a vote. The membership voted 85 percent in favour of ratifying the agreement.
