Today, CUPW officially served notice to bargain to the Canada Post Corporation for both the urban operations unit and the RSMC unit.
Meetings are already scheduled for the month of December. At these initial meetings, the employer will present its vision for the future of its various services, such as parcels and admail, as well as its financial situation. The Union intends to present its own vision, particularly in terms of Canada Post’s financial situation.
After the meetings on the postal service and the financial situation, we will be officially presenting our programs of demands for both the urban and RSMC units. This date will be determined shortly. This meeting may take place in December or in early January 2016 at the latest.
Your Negotiating Committees will defend your demands proudly and forcefully. The Committees continue to work daily gathering the information they need to reach the objectives you have given us. You will be kept informed of developments as they occur.
Your involvement and support are essential to the success of these negotiations. Keep informed and ready to take action when needed.
The best way to stay up to date on negotiations is to sign up for CUPW’s E‑Digest. This will enable you to receive the most recent information directly to your E-mail inbox. You can sign up at: www.cupw.ca/en/cupw-edigest
