Vision Care Benefits – A New Period Begins

For Urban Postal Operations (UPO) and Rural and Suburban Mail Carrier (RSMC) members starting January 1^st, 2015, we will begin a new reimbursement period for our Vision benefit.

UPO members will begin a new 4 year reimbursement period which begins on January 1, 2015 and ends December 31, 2018. RSMC members will begin a new two (2) year reimbursement period on January 1, 2015 and ends December 31, 2016.

Dollars and Cents

In terms of money what this means for UPO members:

Extended Health Care Plan
→       $400 @ 80% =            $320

Vision Care Plan
→       $300 @ 100%=           $300   

January 1,2015-December 31, 2018
$620 total*

In terms of money what this means for RSMC members:

Extended Health Care Plan
→       $200 @ 80% =            $160

Vision Care Plan
→       $130 @ 100%=           $130   

January 1,2015-December 31, 2016
$290 total*

*Important: Each eligible dependant is entitled to the same total amount as the member

If you have used the maximum of your benefit plan for this term, members are encouraged to wait until the new year if possible, to purchase anything under our vision benefits.
