The CUPW Connection

CUPW partnered with FCCC back in 1996 to support postal workers with their child care needs. Our partnership started in St John’s and is now growing across the province. FCCC are committed to helping CUPW members find quality child care for their children. CUPW members covered by the Urban Operations and Rural and Suburban Mail Carriers collective agreements are welcome to use any of the programs and services FCCC offer.

CUPW Member Benefit

CUPW members can participate in any of the activities and services that Family and Child Care Connections offers, including workshops and training, drop-in playgroups, our resource lending library and the toy and equipment library. Please don’t hesitate to contact FCCC with your questions.

Child Care Subsidies

In addition to providing funding for the resource centre, the CUPW Child Care Fund provides child care subsidies for members who qualify. You may qualify for a subsidy that covers 40% of your child care fees if your child: Is cared for in a Family and Child Care Connections approved family child program.

To apply for a subsidy, contact FCCC and they will help you with getting registered and to determine if you are eligible for a child care subsidy.

The CUPW Child Care Fund is relying on locals to help us get this information out to members.
We want all members to know about these new child care services.
